Vint is a Cairo-based brand at the intersection of design and lifestyle. I founded Vint to explore how typography and visual design can be applied to everyday objects. The work combines vintage-inspired aesthetics with short, meaningful quotes to create functional home accessories such as coasters, cushions, and prints.
The goal was to move beyond purely decorative design by integrating text in a way that brings moments of reflection, motivation, and positivity into everyday environments.
While the brand is not currently active, the project remains an ongoing exploration of how design, language, and everyday objects intersect.
Apply typography and layout design to everyday objects.
Influence daily experiences by placing art and ideas into functional objects.
Balance readability with expressive, vintage-inspired aesthetics.
Explore how design can influence environment through repeated use.
Each design begins with the selection of a quote—inspirational, memorable, and visually suggestive. The text sets the direction for the entire composition, informing choices around typography, layout, and color.
From there, I explore type treatments and compositions that keep the text legible at a glance without losing character. The main challenge is balancing hierarchy and expression.
In some cases, designs incorporate simplified portraits or visual references to the quoted figure, adding context and pop culture appeal. Supporting elements—shapes, textures, colors—are introduced with restraint, complementing the text without overwhelming it.
Final designs are then adapted across formats—including coasters, cushions and prints—while maintaining consistency and clarity across different sizes and uses.
